We arrived at Rita and Irvin’s classy Independence Golf Club wedding to the sound of our bride joking around and telling stories with her mom and bridesmaids. I loved her wedding day style. Classy, timeless, and elegant. Every last detail was just perfect. We loved working alongside MMG Photo Booth. They knock the photo booth experience out of the park every time. Also, the Estate at Independence Golf Club knows how to pull off a perfect wedding every. single. time. In short, RVA brides to be in search of classy, yet elegant style, this late summer wedding is full inspiration and fun moments.
There is no question how much live music can add something special to the wedding ceremony. With a vocalist and harp playing, this classy Independence Golf Club wedding was no exception. Even Dave and I were swooning behind the lens. And we’re been to over three hundred weddings!
Watching Irvin watch his bride come down the aisle was 100% my favorite part of the entire day. I watched him go from nervous, to teary-eyed, to biggest smile in the entire world as Rita walked toward him at the start of their ceremony. Keep scrolling for grins and the appearance of our gorgeous Richmond bride. Rita, you looked amazing girl. And Irvin, stop it! (okay, dont stop!) We know it’s not about you, but we couldn’t help watching you watching her and just swooning over all of it.
The Estate at Independence is such a pretty wedding venue, and the day was equally nice, so certainly some outdoor portraits were in order. We love the backdrop of the golf club and green here combined with her flowy wedding dress and all of those pops of color. Thanks you guys for making our job soooo easy. We loved every minute of your RVA wedding.
How much do you love brunch? Gah, us too. As RVA wedding photographers, we are one hundred percent thankful for early wedding times and the brunch catering trend. It is becoming increasingly popular as a result, and we have seen some Richmond caterers really knock it out of the park. Oh, and a craft your own mimosa bar with fresh fruit is life. Is it bad that we got a little excited over those colorful pieces and gold sign against all of the white?
Wait for it. We know you’ll love this one as much as we loved photographing it. So, the Estate at Independence Golf Club has a balcony that overlooks the golf course and it is up fairly high. When it came time for the flower toss tradition, we all knew that this would be the best spot for it. And boy, this setup just happened to be one of the funnest parts about their wedding day. Thank goodness that we are Richmond wedding photographers and not videographers, because we were all laughing out loud.
Not everyone does the bridal garter toss, but when they do, they can make for some really cute wedding photos. These two had such a great time.
