We’ve been looking forward to Rachel and Jake’s Gibson Island wedding since we first started talking with them.  Its such a cool opportunity to be invited onto this private Island, let alone to capture beautiful Gibson Island wedding photos.  Rachel and Jake met in college at Towson University where Dave went to school. They were in the same honors fraternity, and were friends for a long time. Finally in their senior year of college they eventually were both single at the same time, and when they finally got together and realized how much they truly cared for each other, they realized how easy it was to combine their lives. Nothing was challenging, nothing was difficult. It all just fell into place.  That pretty much sums up their relationship, and just by spending time with them, we could tell how effortless and natural their relationship feels.  And they both just fill each others missing pieces so well.  Jake has always been someone Rachel would go to for problem solving, trusting him fully, and he was by her side through a lot of tough times throughout their relationship. When Rachel was first telling me about Jake (you can view Rachel and Jake’s Gibson Island engagement photos here) she said this one thing that stuck with me “Jake is my happy place, and makes everything in life more simple and fun”. I just love that! Anyway- Onto the Gibson Island wedding photos. Guys, this place is straight out of a Martha Stewart magazine or a dream or something.  Rachel and Jake’s lilac blush and gold wedding color palette fit perfectly into the beautiful light bright neutral Gibson Island Club venue that is brand spankin’ new.  Its truly one of my new favorite wedding venues.  If we could just photograph Gibson Island weddings year round I would be perfectly content!  Take a peek!

Aren’t they just the sweetest mom and daughter? I love this photo!STUNNING! GUYS!  This VW bus though! As soon as I saw it in the driveway I was hoping we’d get to use it for some photos! So fun and quirky!Looking dapper!I love how happy Rachel is walking down to her groom.  Her smile is just beaming!! Many years ago, Jake’s mom’s father was the pastor of Calvary UMC where they held their ceremony. And Jake’s parents we married here many years ago as well.  I love how meaningful it made their ceremony. I spy the VW bus again!What a good looking crew!The waterfront lawn of the Gibson Island Club was the perfect spot to capture some gorgeous Gibson Island wedding photos.  I just love all the little flower details. Willow Oak farm always does an amazing job with florals. Favorite!So, I may have gone a little overboard with the Gibson Island Club wedding venue detail photos.  But I mean, how could I not?  This place is amazing! Just look at that porch swing!That staircase!  All the heart-eye-emojis!Rachel’s sweet friend and bridesmaid sang their first dance song, accompanied by a live band comprised of Jake’s dad’s friends and coworkers.  There were just so many meaningful details and Rachel and Jake did such an amazing job of incorporating so much meaning into their wedding!And then Jake’s dad sang them a song to dance to just the two of them on the dance floor. So sweet. And then this happened.  These two photos could not have been more perfect.  Poor Jake even cut his hand during this epic event, but took it like a champ.  A wedding isn’t a wedding without a bridesmaid selfie! Hah!We ended the night with a quick nighttime Gibson Island wedding photo, because I couldnt resist. Congrats Rachel and Jake!  You guys are amazing and I know you’re going to do even more amazing things together now that you’re married!
