Rustic Charlottesville Farm Virginia Wedding :: CARRIE + BRAD
Carrie and Brad met through mutual friends at church here in Richmond Virginia and were friends for years before they even thought about dating. And then one fateful night at a concert at the Broadberry with friends, they started having eyes for each other. And a month or so later they were officially a thing. He brings out the best version of Carrie and she does the same for him. They just complement each other well and enjoy adventuring with each other. Within a few months of dating they actually went on a trip to Europe together (CRAZY, RIGHT? But ya know, in the best way possible) because they just happened to both have a mutual friend there they wanted to visit. It was during that 2 week trip across 3 countries that they first really realized they were perfect for each other, and first said I love you on a mountain hike in the Swiss Alps. Which is why their Charlottesville Virginia farm wedding in the mountains just suited them so well. Carrie’s family’s farm is nestled right in the Shenandoah Mountains, just outside of the Charlottesville area, and its literally felt like a slice of heaven when we drove up there for the first time. Just picture the most beautiful landscape painting of rolling hills, green and blue mountains, perfectly blue sky speckled with fluffy white clouds.. And that doesn’t even come close to just being there in person. The red barn on their family’s property where they had their Charlottesville Virginia farm wedding ceremony, sits perfectly perched on top of a hill looking down into the valley. I have seriously dreamt about this place ever since we got home. Their wedding day was forecasted to rain.. HARD…and all day. But instead, the rain clouds parted, literally minutes before their ceremony, and the sun burst from behind the clouds just as the ceremony was getting started. And, selfishly, I think my favorite part of the day might have just been the live bluegrass band playing in the background while we worked! It was heavenly!
