She is obsessed with the beach and he is obsessed with her, so it is only natural that their perfect beach wedding in the summer would make our jaws drop. And, that is putting it mildly. I mean, did you see their Oriole Park at Camden Yards engagement in Baltimore? This Maryland couple and their totally romantic pink and gold summer beach wedding at a Delaware Beach is just the cutest. Scroll down to head straight to the photos or stick with us for a bit and hear their story. If you are anything like us, grab the tissues and settle in. You will need them.
Alex told us that she and Joe lived within five miles of each other their entire lives. Yet, they met through a mutual friend in Baltimore’s Federal Hill a few years ago. After talking for a few weeks, they started dating… with their first date location at Liberatore’s in Bel Air, MD.
Because Joe knows Alex so well, of course he proposed at a beach! Specifically, though, our Delaware bride told her future groom that when he wanted to pop the question, it had to either be totally unique and creative or be done at the ocean. So, Joe bought the ring and held onto it for TWO MONTHS until their family vacation at Nags Head.
While our bride was distracted with sightseeing and wild horses in the nearby town of Corolla, Joe was busy setting up an epic proposal. Little did he know that the curiosity of a child would create a challenge to his big plans on the boardwalk. But, he made it work. She said yes. Then, they celebrated with their entire family that night. Her parents even drove seven hours to be there for it. Talk about a perfect day!
With their getting ready location at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Dewey Beach, it was only a short drive to their wedding venue at Indian River Life Saving Station Museum and Delaware Seashore State Park. As you can tell from their pink and gold bridesmaid dresses, their entire wedding theme was what we like to call a combo of beach glam and romantic beach wedding vibes. Our Delaware beach bride chose dreamy pink and white flower crowns. The flower girls wore gold and pink dresses with a tutu skirt. Their wedding ceremony had the best ocean view. Even their stunning wedding reception was on the beach! The natural sandy floor beneath the tent was the icing on the cake. Alex and Joe, your perfect beach wedding in the summer was a chart topper for sure! We had so much fun as your Delaware Beach wedding photographer. Enjoy these photos, friends.
A sweetheart wedding gown by Allure Bridals from K & B Bridals in Maryland and flower crown by Ocean City florist, Little Miss Lovely were all that was needed for our beautiful bride.
Now for her first look with her dad. So sweet!
This beach crew was so much fun! Let’s take a look at the groom.
Sperry? Check. Tan suit to match the sandy shore of their Delaware beach venue? Check. Lots of classic white without a ton of fuss? Double check. Keep scrolling for one incredibly happy groom.

We nearly left this one out, because we weren’t sure if you would want to see another first dance as married couple wedding photo. But, y’all. We had to keep it! Give us all the kissing photos during the first dance. They are just so sweet!
