Ya’ll, we started our 2018 wedding season off RIGHT with Cait & Phil’s Seven Springs Farm wedding last weekend. From the moment we moved to Richmond, I’ve had my eye on Seven Springs Farm, and have been day dreaming of photographing a Seven Springs Farm wedding. Gorgeous interior decorating? Check! Historic home filled with stories from all the way back to the time of our founding fathers? Check! Beautiful farmland with blossoming Magnolia trees? Check! And.. you guys.. Newborn baby lambs that you can legit snuggle with? Check, check, check! And Cait’s aesthetic and vision for the day and attention to detail was my literal favorite. From her stunning dress, to the simple, classic yet modern reception decor, I was just in wedding photographer heaven! And if that wasn’t enough, they are as sweet and kind and fun as they look.
Cait and Phil met at a mutual friends’ lake house at Lake Anna years back. They came separately, not knowing each other. But Cait was there. And Phil was there. With his dog Riley. And the moment Cait saw Riley, it was love at first sight (which is why riley played such an important role in their wedding). Phil took a little longer to grow on her…hahah! But soon enough they were facetiming each other every day, and then as soon as they made it official, Cait of course moved all the way across the country for an internship. But they made the long distance work until she was able to move back home. That’s commitment right there! From the moment I met them, I could see how perfectly they just fit with each other. Cait’s attention to detail (as seen throughout their amazing Seven Springs Farm wedding) is met perfectly with Phil’s laid back demeanor and sense of humor. They both bring their whole selves to the table in their relationship, and you can just tell how well it works. And their Seven Springs Farm wedding was definitely a reflection of that. I cannot wait any longer to share these beautiful images from their wedding with you. Cait and Phil, Congratulations, and thanks for trusting us to capture your wedding day story (especially including the baby lamb snuggles)! You were the best first wedding of the season we could’ve asked for!
Can you even with this Blush by Hayley Paige wedding dress? I can’t!
Lou Stevens Glam Squad has done my hair and makeup and they’re amazing to work with! I recommend them to all our brides! Doesn’t Cait look flawless?
Oh my goodness! The baby lamb complete with a flower wreath! I could not contain my excitement!
Cait, you made such a stunning bride. Effortlessly beautiful on the inside and out!
There’s their ringbearer, Riley, making an appearance!
I just love the simple natural airy feel of their Seven Springs Farm wedding!
Can you believe that Cait and Phil made this stand for their table numbers? They later used it as a backdrop for their sweetheart table too! So perfect!
There is not a single bad spot here for Seven Springs Farm wedding photos!
I love that sweetheart table bench from Paisley & Jade. It added just the perfect touch!
The Hive Wedding Collective did such a good job making Cait’s vision come to life!
