INDEPENDENCE GOLF CLUB SUMMER WEDDING :: Richmond, Virginia

To say that Adam and Jessica’s relationship has withstood the test of time and distance is nothing short of true. They were introduced in 2014 and almost immediately, Adam knew that he liked Jessica. Time went on, opportunities came and went as Adam kept trying to talk to Jessica, without her return. A year later, their families miraculously booked vacations in Maryland at the same place, same time, and Jessica and Adam found themselves spending time together that culminated into a kiss. This kiss happened to spark their first date in Virginia. At the time, Adam lived north in Pennsylvania and Jessica lived in North Carolina.

If distance makes the heart grow fonder, then marriage is inevitable. And, it truly was with Jessica and Adam. With so many states and distance between them, it could have separated their relationship. But it didn’t, it made it stronger, just like in Cait and Phil’s story. After dating long-distance for a while, a great job opportunity allowed Jessica to move north and live in the same state as her love. A year later, at the end of a path of rose petal-lined steps lit by candles, Adam knew that Jessica was the one and proposed to her. There, at the top of a cliff in one of Wyoming’s gorgeous state parks, Jessica said, “Yes.” And the rest is history.

Now that we’re all breathless, let’s take a look at their gorgeous Independence Golf Club wedding at this perfect Richmond Virginia wedding venue. As Richmond wedding photographers, we love experiencing all of the various wedding venues in the area. The elegance and stately charm of the Independence Estates clubhouse and lush, sweeping green of the golf course at this Richmond wedding venue really allowed for some of the most gorgeous captures. The beautiful white background of the clubhouse was the perfect accompaniment to Jessica’s blush and silver wedding colors. Adam’s love for golf really made their wedding venue choice such a personal one.

Isn’t this moment between Jessica and her dad just the sweetest?

Jessica and Adam’s first look didn’t happen until she walked down the aisle. The surprise on Adam’s face was simply priceless. He was just so in awe of his gorgeous bride. I almost can’t stop typing about how sweet this moment was.

Their blush and silver wedding colors are so pretty.

From the shoe game to the bouquet toss, cake-cutting, and dancing, Jessica and Adam’s Midlothian Virginia wedding was so glamorous and so much fun. It was such an honor to be their wedding photographer. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Ingraham. We are so happy for you two!
