Our sweet couple’s Dover Hall engagement has all the right feels: timeless, classic, and so so very Richmondy. When Dave and I first moved to Richmond, Virginia, Dover Hall Estate in Manakin-Sabot was on our list of dreamy wedding venues to check out. Having the honor of being the official photographer for the Richmond Weddings Magazine cover photoshoot here was an epic experience. Since then, we’ve had the chance to visit Dover Hall as RVA wedding photographers, and each time, the weddings just blow us away. Since Christine and Dallas are having their wedding here in January, of course we had to do Dover Hall engagement photos here as well. In short, get ready to be floored. With all of the sweetness of this couple and grandness of this RVA estate, this summer photo session was a combination of classic elegance and total romance. Check it out.
These two met during freshman year at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. However, it wasn’t until they both relocated to Washington, DC that a solid friendship really happened. Christine says, “Eventually, one thing led to another” and as a result, their winter wedding is coming up here at Dover Hall Estate.
Their first date was at the Woodrow Wilson House in Washington, DC. After that, our couple returned to the restaurant at least once a year for another date. Similarly, this was the spot where Christine told Dallas that she loved him. And, it’s also their proposal location. Our groom meant to pop the question as a surprise. However, Christine told us that the fact that he was wearing a blazer totally gave it away. Surprise or not, we love what our couple wore to their Dover Hall engagement. Her red and blue dress and his coat complemented their wedding venue so well. Thanks for being stunning and awesomely fashionable guys!
