Richmond Weddings Magazine Cover Photo Session :: Behind the Scenes at Dover Hall
You know how much we love Richmond Weddings. We have written a few articles for them and there is a good chance that you will see some of our photos on their website, social media feeds, or ON THEIR MAGAZINE COVER. Sorry to anyone looking for more of a climatic introduction, we just could not take it any longer. Your favorite Richmond wedding photographers photographed the newest Richmond Weddings Magazine Cover Photo Session. DAVE AND I ARE FAMOUS. Well, kinda. Also, we are slightly jumping for joy over here and we are definitely grinning all the time. Like, we have tried to stop, but what is the point? Literally, our house is filled with baby giggles and a crazy, married photographer couple running around with huge smiles on their faces carrying a really cool (and really pretty!) wedding magazine. It’s so true. We may literally be dying of happiness over here. So, back to the point of this post. We are (coughs) – apparently – (coughs again; dang cough!) fancy magazine cover photographers now… along with being our regular RVA wedding photographer selves. We had a ton of fun kicking back with some incredibly talented vendors for this magazine cover photo session, and seeing one of our 2018 DC couples again. Like any good styled shoot, let’s start out with hair and makeup. Island Glow was the Richmond Makeup Artist chosen for the photo session and DND Beauty was the RVA Hair Stylist.
At this point, we know what you are thinking. “Who in the world is that stunning bride? We recognize her from somewhere!” If she looks familiar, it is because this sweet lady is one of our DC brides. Dave and I were her DC wedding photographer at her Ronald Reagan Building wedding last fall. As newlyweds (and super sweet!), Ansley and Tommy made for the perfect models for this photo session. Plus, it was really fun getting to spend some more time with them; we are always looking for a reason to have a reunion and catch up with our couples.
Here is the gorgeous Stella York wedding dress that she wore from Tiffany’s Bridal Boutique. All of the jewelry, bridal belt, veil, and wedding dress are from Tiffany’s.
You guys, is anyone else swooning over this perfect mustardy yellow at Dover Hall? It is honestly what my dreams are made of… along with sleep. Hashtag: babies love to rock out a little too much when their parents just want to go to bed.
