Pantone’s Color of the Year :: Living Coral Wedding Inspiration
Pantone’s 2019 Color of the Year is Living Coral, and there’s no doubt that it’s a great one for weddings. In the past few years as a wedding photographer, we have seen coral pop up in some of the prettiest ways. Although, we have seen it mostly used during warmer season weddings, it would be a great color to add to a fall or even winter wedding. So, brides to be, the challenge is on! On our blog, you will find it paired with teal Azazie bridesmaid dresses at a Summer Virginia Museum of Fine Arts wedding in Richmond. By the way, the nearly coral Italian pink marble walls of the elegant Marble Hall at the VMFA is a great choice if you are looking for a wedding venue that already has the color in it. To highlight their pretty venue, our Richmond couple chose mostly white floral centerpieces and simple coral table numbers.
Another great color paired with coral is pink. Our rustic Charlottesville farm wedding this summer featured coral, royal blue, and bright pink wedding colors. Their wedding floral arrangements specifically included ‘coral charm’ peonies. Also, a live bluegrass band was playing while we photographed. No big deal, right? Those flowers are only my favorite flower E-V-E-R AND the live bluegrass music playing at an intimate Charlottesville farm wedding is only our idea of a dream wedding. But, you know.
One of our Baltimore brides went with a happy combination of coral and yellow for her summer wedding at The Rawlings Conservatory. Look for shades of coral bridesmaid dresses, catering menus with embossed coral flowers, and a bridal bouquet of dusty miller, yellow pom Craspedia, coral Gerbera daisies, and yellow roses. The yellow and coral wedding colors alongside all of the greenery at this summer Baltimore wedding venue was so pretty!
One of our Baltimore couples had light coral and soft pink wedding colors for their American Visionary Art Museum AVAM wedding and the entire aesthetic was only one of our most favorite weddings ever. 
Quirk hotel is another favorite Richmond venue with trendy pink and coral inspired decor. For those couples who want a neutral wedding space like Seven Springs, but love the idea of adding in some color, wedding rental companies like Paisley & Jade are one way to go. Depending on the company, you may find a variety of colorful upholstered furniture and decorations for rent to accent whatever venue you choose.
