OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
We were literally racing the clock, or rather- the impending crazy rainstorm during Megan and Evan’s Old Town Alexandria engagement photos session. The rain ended up holding off, but literally as Dave and I were walking back to our car after their amazing engagement session, we started feeling rain drops. We adore these two, and we had such a good time getting to know them better while taking some really pretty pictures of them! And Megan, who used to intern in Old Town Alexandria, totally gave us the most awesome tour of the area. It was really neat getting to hear the history of different parts of Old Town that I never had any idea about! I am obsessed with Megan’s skirt and I love that their outfits almost feel a little patriotic, while I’m still reveling in our awesome 4th of July weekend! Megan and Evan are just so sweet with each other. The way he gently holds her and the way she adoringly looks at him. This amazing couple is getting married this fall and we cannot wait to photograph their Woodlands At Algonkian Park wedding in a few months! True story- While we were taking engagement photos of them at this dock by the water in Old Town Alexandria, one of Megan’s friends happened to be sitting on a bench right next to us! What are the odds of that, right? It wasn’t until about halfway through when we heard “Megan!” that we turned around and Megan saw her friend! So fun!Isn’t Megan’s engagement ring so so pretty! I love unique engagement rings, and I love how hers stands out with a pop of color!Megan interned at the Gadsby’s Tavern Museum, so of course we needed to use the building as an engagement photo location! I love those classic white columns!I absolutely love this little alley in Old Town. I couldn’t tell you exactly where it is, but I always somehow end up passing by it. The light is always perfect there, and I just love the old brick and bright ivy growing all around. And the cobblestone! Oh the cobblestone! Our Old Town Alexandria engagement photos wouldn’t be complete without a stop by Prince Street and the Carlyle House. It only took us like ten minutes to wait for a break in the cars so we could stand in the middle of the cobblestone street in Old Town. Megan and Evan were troopers! These last two I think are my favorites out of our whole time with them. They just capture how fun and sweet they are together. Love! Love! Love!
