I love love love that a majority of our wedding couples this year met online, because thats how my husband and I met! Lauren and Chris did too! And her sweet story of how she asked Chris to be her boyfriend by baking him cupcakes that spelled out “BE MINE? YES/NO” is how I immediately knew I would love working with and getting to know Lauren and Chris. How stinking adorable right? Please tell me I’m not the only person who passed notes in elementary school that said “Do you like me? YES/NO”. If that wasn’t enough cuteness, Lauren and Chris’ first date at a jazzy club in Maryland totally shined through in their Great Gatsby/ 1920’s art deco baltimore wedding theme. As their Grand Lodge Of Maryland wedding photographer, it literally felt like I stepped back in time when I walked through the doors of the Grand Lodge. Lauren began collecting lots of 1920’s memorabilia for their wedding, like a Charlie Chaplin doll and a Coco Chanel book- which were two of my favorites that i saw, to put on each table so that each table has a theme to it. There was a fashion table, a prohibition table, a film table, an entertainment table, a travel table. It was amazing. It was a black and gold wedding straight from the 1920’s. Even their dessert table had meaningful touches! They had boston creme flavored cupcakes because Lauren’s dad would get doughnuts every now and then while she was growing up and that was their favorite flavor, and red velvet cupcakes since that’s the flavor she made when she asked Chris to be her boyfriend all those years ago. From beginning to end, their whole wedding day ran perfectly smooth thanks to an awesome team. Let me tell you, having a wedding coordinator makes all the difference in the world, and so does putting together a team of wedding vendors that all work together to make sure your wedding day is flawless.
