I met up with Sarah and Jordan for their downtown Annapolis engagement photo session this past week.  We’ve been having a few weeks of horribly fierce rainstorms, and the day of their engagement session looked like there would be a quick rainstorm.  And there was.  And it literally started as soon as I stepped out of my car in downtown Annapolis.  So Sarah, Jordan, my husband and I all ran back to my car and we sat in there and talked for a good 15 minutes avoiding the intense rain.  Once it stopped, we had the most perfect slightly cloudy skies for the rest of their downtown Annapolis engagement photos!  See what I mean? This is why I love being a downtown Annapolis engagement photographer. Doesn’t get better than this! And I can’t wait to photograph their Grey Rock Mansion wedding next month! (you can view their grey rock mansion wedding by grey rock mansion wedding photographer- Sknow Photo right HERE!)

This past winter, Jordan and Sarah were going on an ordinary date after a long week of work that just so happened to be at the restaurant in Baltimore where they had their first date.  Jordan kept looking at his phone through dinner, and Sarah, who had absolutely no idea what was going on, was a little annoyed because she thought he was just playing a game on his phone during their whole date.  They left the restaurant and Jordan suggested walking by the water. All Sarah remembers is Jordan saying that this kind of beauty made him think about who he wanted to spend his life with, and then before she knew it, he was down on one knee asking her to marry him! When she was telling me about their Baltimore proposal story, she said “I was so surprised and caught off guard that afterwards I had to ask him if I had even said yes. I was crying and laughing and I even called him a jerk, which I felt terrible about and apologized. I was worried about if my reaction was ok, and Jordan assured me that it was perfect.”  I love it! But thats not the end!  After the proposal, Jordan took the long way home through Baltimore and Jordan stopped at a local restaurant to get dessert. When they got inside, all of their close family and friends were there waiting to congratulate them. So it turns out Jordan was looking at his phone all night to make sure the time line was such that everyone would be waiting for for them at the restaurant at just the right time.
