I just have to start out by saying that Caitlin and Brian just seem so perfect for one another. From the moment we got to know them a little bit, I could just tell. And the toasts from their family and friends on their wedding day just solidified that. Caitlin’s dad shared during dinner that if Caitlin would ever get worked up over something, he would often tell her to just “Be like Brian.” He is her calm, and she adds fun to his life. This week Dave and I are at a conference for married couples in business together, and it seems like time and time again, some of the best (and sometimes hardest.. in a good way) marriages are between two people with very different strengths and weaknesses that come together and help complete what the other person lacks. Caitlin and Brian’s spring Belmont Manor wedding was attended by family and friends from literally all over the country and world. So, you just know how loved they are and how important their relationships with people are to them. The non-stop rain didn’t even remotely put a damper on their day. Caitlin had such a grace and peace about the rain on their wedding day. Luckily, Belmont Manor is such a stunning venue both inside and outside that it really didn’t mess up plans too much. From the bright and airy bridal suite that perfectly matched their sage peach and gold wedding colors, to the tent overlooking the beautiful spring garden, we were able to capture so many lovely Belmont Manor wedding photos. It turned out to be the perfect Belmont Manor wedding day!Caitlin gifted Brian with a custom fishing lure. How precious is that? I am obsessed with Caitlin’s bridal bouquet. Like.. I don’t know if it’ll be topped this year. Add some succulents to a bouquet and its all over for me!I love the bridesmaids matching denim shirts! Mom and sister both had a sweet moment with Caitlin getting her ready before all her bridesmaids got to see her! It was so special. We noticed that the rain was going to be really light for a few minutes right when Brian and his groomsmen arrived, so we quickly took them outside for some fun groomsmen shots together. And then a couple minutes later, sure enough, it started pouring again. I love how you can just see the joy in Caitlin’s face as she looked at her dad while they walked down the steps, and then as she saw Brian’s face as she walked toward him. These two were such troopers and were up for anything. Lots of people wouldn’t even think about going out into the rain for some wedding portraits. But we all got under our umbrellas and we truly did have a lot of fun out there capturing these Belmont Manor wedding photos. Right after dinner, we noticed on our handy dandy hyper-local weather app (its called Dark Sky, and its amazing. If you’re a photographer or a bride, and expecting a rainy wedding day, this will make your day. It’ll tell you oftentimes down to the minute when the rain is supposed to stop or at least slow down to a mist) that the rain was about to get really light and almost stop, so I ran over to them to see if they were up for some more picture time, and of course they were down for anything. So we took them out to the garden for a few more Belmont Manor wedding photos. And I’m so glad we did! This set of images is my favorite from the whole day. They’re just so perfect for each other. They were just laughing and smiling and giddy with each other the whole time. I love it so much! They named all their tables with different locations and spots around town that were meaningful to them as a couple. Like Rheb’s Homemade Candies, which was a throwback to how Brian proposed to Caitlin- surprising her with a ring inside a Rheb’s Homemade Candies box. So sweet!Even grandma joined in on the dance party. And Caitlin’s dad continued their family tradition of starting a conga line with all of the wedding guests! So fun!
