MOLON LAVE VINEYARD WEDDING

Yoshi had me at the word “copper”.  Its a running joke between Dave and I that I have a radar for copper.  If there is something copper on a store shelf, I will always find it.  It just sticks out in the corner of my eye.  To say I’m a little obsessed with copper would probably be an understatement.  So when Yoshi started telling me about the copper and sage color scheme she was envisioning for her Molon Lave Vineyard wedding day, I was beside myself.  It turned out so perfectly and made for such a unique day that fit perfectly into the golden sage background of Molon Lave Vineyards in Central Virginia.  Yoshi and Alan like to joke that they found each other on Craigslist.  They actually met as roommates at first, when they lived in a ‘group’ house with two other roommates after Yoshi went apartment hunting on Craigslist.  Yoshi told me she liked him because he used proper grammar in their first email! hahah! Now they are a little more than just roommates! They’re married! They bonded over their love of good wine and the outdoors, and were instantly comfortable with each other and it felt like they had known each other already for a long time.  So their Molon Lave wedding was just the perfect picture of their relationship. Dave and I arrived to Molon Lave Vineyards over an hour early because we were driving from Richmond Virginia. So we had time to meet the owners, have a tour of the entire Molon Lave Vineyards wedding venue, and they even guided us through an authentic Greek olive oil tasting.  I had no idea, but in addition to being a wine vineyard and a wedding venue, Molon Lave also has authentic flavored olive oils (and you guys, they were really good!).  Anyway- I’m completely obsessed with this ring shot!  I love that you can see the burgundy wine stained on top of each wine cork.  It fit in perfectly with Yoshi and Alan’s deep fall color palette.  TOMS wedding shoes and an absolutely stunning BHLDN wedding dress.  Doesn’t get much better than that.  Look at her dress and all the detail!  How incredible!I just love the sage and copper tones throughout their Molon Lave vineyard wedding day!  So so pretty!Its tradition to fold 1,000 paper cranes for a wedding, so Yoshi and Alan decided to include their 1,000 paper cranes in special spots throughout the day.  I love how they added them to their ceremony sign here.Yoshi’s sister performed a sweet traditional tea ceremony for the couple during their ceremony.  It was so touching, and truly made their ceremony unique!As a Richmond and Central Virginia wedding photographer, I really couldn’t ask for anything else with this beautiful light outside, the pond reflecting the rolling Virginia hills, and this couple that is so clearly in love and absolutely perfect for one another.Before heading into their reception, we had to take them across the field to the vineyards for some Molon Lave Vineyard wedding photos!  I was almost a little bummed that the grape leaves in the vineyard were no longer lush and green. But then I realized that they were this perfect tone of rusty golden copper that perfectly accented their copper wedding color scheme.  It was just so perfect!The couple with all their sweet little nieces and nephews! It made me miss all of mine! They’re such a good aunt and uncle to these kiddos. You could tell all night that the kids just adored Yoshi and Alan. Oh my goodness! I cannot get enough of these colors!  And these rusty copper bridesmaids dresses! SO beautiful!I spy more paper cranes!What a cute idea!The Molon Lave Vineyard wedding venue gives couples such a great blank slate to really work with any color scheme or theme a couple could want.  That’s one of my favorite things about Molon Lave Vineyard.A copper wedding cake!  This is basically my dream come true. They’re just the cutest, aren’t they?I love these last two Molon Lave wedding reception photos.  So much sweetness happens when you keep an eye out for it during wedding receptions!
