HARFORD MARYLAND BACKYARD WEDDING PHOTOS
Backyard weddings are my favorite. In the middle of a crazy busy wedding photography season like we’ve had this year, I love the relaxed feel of a Maryland backyard wedding. Where the focus is on the right stuff. And a bride and groom who value photography and details just makes it perfect. This would be where I would tell you a little more about Dawn and Joe, but let me tell you something.. From the moment Dawn first emailed us about being her Hartford Maryland backyard wedding photographers, I was struck by how she has such a way with words. And I really couldn’t tell you about their love better than she already did: “I don’t think either Joe or I have any one defining moment where we both knew this was it, that I was the one for him or that he was the one for me. It sounds so anticlimactic to not have a defining moment but it also didn’t just sneak up on us either. I think we both mutually had a pure instinctual and gut feeling about the other, that there was never really any question about us not sharing our lives and future together. Being around him felt natural, like I’d been doing it my whole life. On top of love, we have a deep respect for the other, trust, loyalty, confidence, comfort, an actual liking for the person he/she is; If I need advice, or he has exciting news, we always seek the other out first. During our good and bad times, we rely on each other, and I think our relationship has been strengthened by the bonds we’ve developed that far exceed mere attraction. Having a foundation in a relationship like the one we’ve developed has truly given me, personally, the gift of unadulterated calmness. When life gets hectic, he’s that calm in the storm, and the best diffuser of an intense situation. His gift of humor lightens my life and I’m always turning towards him. We may not know the defining moment when we fell in love, or how or when we ‘knew’. But for me, it’s every moment he’s in my life reinforcing that gut instinct I have that continues to tell me everyday that he’s the one.” I told you, right? Oh my gosh! I feel like I’m reading a Nicholas Sparks novel or something! They worked with Salvage Sisters Weddings to create the most perfectly rustic blush gold wedding on their family friends gorgeous Harford Co Maryland property. I can’t wait for you to see all of the pretty details!
Isn’t this such a unique engagement ring? 
This front porch swing kind of stole my heart from the moment we arrived. It reminds me of a southern estate out in the country. And it didn’t hurt that the porch was just filled with beautiful diffused light, which is a Baltimore wedding photographer’s dream! So of course I incorporated it into a lot of Dawn’s bridal detail photos. You’ll be able to spot it in quite a few of these images!
I love love love that she found such a meaningful way to keep her dad close to her on her wedding day.

True confession time- I’m kind of obsessed with these stars. We have two of them at our house, so I got really excited when I spotted this one!
Isn’t this just the prettiest most peaceful backdrop for a backyard wedding ceremony? Ah!
When we asked Dawn and Joe if they would be up for sitting on this very dirty little boat, and they said “Absolutely!”.. I knew we were a match made in wedding heaven!
This field, you guys! My, oh my! Hay bales? Check! Acres of lush tall grass? Check! The sun setting just over the horizon? Check! Dawn scoped out the perfect locations for us to shoot their wedding portraits! 
They also happened to have the most photogenic wedding party ever. We got the most amazing Harford Maryland backyard wedding photos!
I loved how they incorporated meaningful love song lyrics into their reception tablescapes! Isn’t that such a sweet idea?
