GIBSON ISLAND ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS

One of the things I love most about being a wedding and engagement photographer is the challenge of getting to know how a couple meshes together and working hard at making sure they are not only comfortable in front of our cameras, but that we really capture who they genuinely are together as a couple.  Its incredibly rewarding.  And then every once in a while we get to work with a couple that just needs not help from us at all.  A couple that is just so comfortable and natural and sweet with each other that they just do all of the work for us! Hah!  Enter Rachel and Jake. They’re just the perfect combination of sweet and funny.  Romantic and a little silly.  We had the amazing opportunity to visit Gibson Island for their engagement session.  This place is BEAUTIFUL! You guys!  Its this little hidden gem outside of Annapolis, Maryland.  Perfect for some nautical Gibson Island engagement photos. A private island where everything is just perfectly quaint and lush.  It doesn’t hurt that I got to walk barefoot in the sand while photographing them.  And we just cannot wait for their waterfront Gibson Island wedding next year!How stinkin’ cute are these two?  I saw the sun just sparkling through the trees on the right out of the corner of my eyes and knew that was where I wanted us to start out during their maryland engagement portrait session. Just perfect! Oh my gosh!  Rachel! You are stunning!  Look at her!  Also, I’m a sucker for taking photos by boat racks.  I don’t know what it is about them.. I just love them!Rachel and I both spotted this little white boat just resting underneath this pretty tree and we had to stop there for a minute. Oh! The light!  We had the most beautiful sunlight  for their engagement photos. Couldn’t have asked for a better day!
