THE BEST FAIRFAX COUNTY WEDDING PHOTOS EVER
Its always an honor when a friend hires us (and trusts us) to be their wedding photographer. So I’m going to tell you the story of how my friendship with Laura began. We met in college when we were both a part of a small campus ministry called Reformed University Fellowship. Unlike the other campus ministries at school, RUF was small which made us a really close-knit group. We stayed friends throughout college and then my last semester of art school, I found out that the school had made a mistake and I still needed one more science class to graduate early. Cue the panic when the only available science class that wasn’t all filled up was a chemistry lab. This particular chemistry lab class included all of the experiments as well as written tests that were supposed to go along with a lecture section that I couldn’t get in to. Needless to say, I was literally failing until Laura’s roommate Sara tutored me all semester long to help make sure I passed by the skin on my teeth. Thats when I think we really became close- when i spent all of my free time at their apartment hanging on with Laura and Sara trying to get some science into my artistic brain. When I found out that Laura was in a relationship with Brandon I could just tell, even from afar, that they were just meant for each other. Laura and Brandon truly feel like best friends. And their wedding day was one happy celebration of that friendship.
We took over the church lobby right near some pretty window light while everyone was getting ready- to get these beautiful wedding detail shots. I’m sure her family and friends were wondering what the crazy photographers were doing.

I LOVE the colors in her wedding bouquet!

It had been raining for pretty much a month straight at this point. I wish I was exaggerating. So when the rain calmed down, we rushed outside to the front of the hotel to capture some of the best Fairfax County wedding photos. We had about a minute before it started getting cold and rainy again, but we made it work! Just look at these two!

Laura’s sweet friend and her friend’s momma made Laura and Brandon’s wedding cake from scratch!

You guys! These folks knew how to get down! Everyone was on the dancefloor- young and old!
