OUTDOOR NEW MARKET MARYLAND ENGAGEMENT :: Katelyn & Kyle

The first new engagement photo session and first new wedding of each season always gives me the “back-to-school” jitters!  Does anyone else know what I’m talking about?  I am confident in my abilities and my equipment, but theres just something about having a couple months off, and then getting right back on that horse.  (And believe me! Did I ever need those two months to get my life back in order after last years amazing wedding photography season!) I even confided in some close friends to have them pray for me to just be excited and confident and at peace for these first few sessions of the year.  And let me tell you.. it worked!  Kate and Kyle’s New Market Maryland engagement photos couldn’t have been more perfect! I just felt like we hit it off right away with them like we were old friends just gettting together to hang out.  We even got a few photos with their sweet pup!

Every time we tried snapping an engagement photo with their fur baby, she would slowly back away trying to go unnoticed.  It was the sweetest most hilarious thing ever!  So instead, Kyle just picked her up and held her in his arms! I love it!

Dogwood flowers have always reminded me of God ever since I was told a little story about them in Sunday school when I was little.  And they’re just the most beautiful spring flower so of course I had to include some photos.Kate found out about us from her friends Sara and Corey (you can view their Celebrations At The Bay wedding HERE).  And Kate and Kyle have known each other FOREVER.  Kate had a secret crush on Kyle when she would see him hanging out with her brother when they were in school, but it wasn’t until they were older and Kate hired him on where she was working that things FINALLY kicked off.  And you can totally tell they’ve been in each others lives for a long time. They just have such a natural, comfortable, deep love and friendship with each other.  Which just so happens to make my job taking their New Market Maryland engagement photos so easy! I have no idea what these little curly ferns are, but I’m absolutely obsessed with them!GAH! Don’t you just love them?  They are such naturals at this!  Stunning!As Dave and I followed them down to the beach at the lake in New Market Maryland, I spotted this row of canoes in the corner of my eye and knew we had to some engagement photos by them!  Kate and Kyle’s Camp Puh Tok wedding later this year is going to be all sorts of outdoory-camp-chic so this was just a perfect fit!  We ended their session down at the beach, and it was perfectly timed with the sun setting just behind the trees giving us the most perfect buttery soft glow.  UGH!!!! I love that last 15 minutes of daylight in the springtime!I feel like these Maryland beach engagement photos should be on the cover of a Nicholas Sparks novel, don’t you agree?  They are such a cute (and photogenic!) couple! I CANNOT wait for their wedding at Camp Puh Tok!
