Jennifer and Brian met online a couple years ago. Brian messaged Jennifer first, but Jennifer asked him out first (sort of). By the end of their first date, Jennifer was secretly hopeful that Brian would ask her out again.. and sure enough- he did. Jennifer also just happens to have been one of my best friends in high school. There were four of us. And we pretty much hung out all of the time. Through years and years of college and moving to different countries and states, we lost touch. When one of your best friends from high school asks to hire you to photograph her wedding, you say YES! yes, yes yes! It was such a joy and honor to not only reconnect with a great friend, and pretty much get caught up on her life via her maid-of-honor’s toast (yes, she did read through her emails giving the history and inside scoop about Brian and Jennifer’s relationship. and yes, it was the sweetest thing ever), but I also had the chance to see my friend the happiest they’ve ever been and got to record that moment in their history for them. Let me tell you- it was such a high and reminded me all over again the reason behind what I do as a wedding photographer.
I loved their hand lettered wedding ceremony programs for their wedding ceremony at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Bethesda MD.
